Great bike for street and moderate trails

Overall I am pretty happy with this bike. While researching other bikes at this price point, this was the only one I could find that had a 9 speed shifter and was under 70 lbs. The 9 speed shifter has been really useful. Likewise, the option to adjust the percentage and number of assist levels also helps to dial in the bike for use on different terrain.

However, as other reviewers have pointed out, the bike struggles a bit on uphills. I ended up replacing the 52T chain ring with a smaller 42T ring and this works much better. On narrow uphill trails, my only option with the original ring was to crank up the pedal assist above 30% once I reached the lowest gears. Not the safest option because you end up taking a straighter line and you have to make quick decisions navigating obstacles. With the 42T ring, I can shift to 2 lower gears at around 25% assist and this gives better control. There is also not much of a drop-off in top speed with the 42T because I could still reach around 28 mph on the highest gear with plenty of resistance on the pedals. The bike could still use some additional help with the lower gears so at some point I might end up changing out the rear cassette to a Shimano HG-201. That would give the same top gears but lower gear ratios for the lower gears.

The main reason though that this bike gets only 4 stars rather than 5 is the design of the rear rack attachment. There are two attachment points on the seat stem that look to be designed to accommodate a rear rack. On a hard tail this would be fine. However, with a rear suspension, attaching the rack here would subject the connecting bolts to alot of stress. The rear rack would essentially be countering the upward movement of the rear triangle. To fix this, I ended up tapping two holes on the upper arm of the rear triangle and attaching the rear rack there. This allows the rack to move with the rear triangle rather than countering it.

Other than these 2 issues, the bike works as advertised. I tried to completely drain the battery and managed to get around 60 miles and you can definitely push it to over 28 mph if you want to. The motor has plenty of power for going uphill on paved roads. So far, I haven't gone past 40% assist going up hills with a ~3.5% grade (375 ft / 2 mile). The rear shock is also fine for paved roads and moderate trails. I still ended up swapping out the rear shock but only because I wanted to have the option to lock it and ride the bike more like a hard tail on paved roads.

I feel I got pretty good value for the price for this bike and would definitely recommend it to others.

Great bike that's great fun with amazing, useful & intuitive technology.

I love my Eahora AM200 E-PAS and bought it to ride predominantly off-road. I was especially attracted by the E-PAS system which essentially can re-charge the battery as you ride! Therefore extending the range of the battery, ride & fun factor. I'm an experienced mountain biker, some would say expert level, who has owned and ridden dozens of bikes in many parts of the world. I'm 6 foot even and weigh in around 185 lbs. Amongst those previous bikes a couple were E-mountain bikes. Though those have been sold as I prefer the experience of riding a traditional mountain bike on the trails where I live in Orange County, CA. So, I love the E-PAS, the color display and how you can easily customize almost anything, the cruise control, those fat tires, the look of the bike, the ease of use and the way the bike rides in general.

Great deal for the price

Easy to set up bike. I have put little over 100 miles on this bike. I love the ebike. The battery life is amazing and it has allowed me to get back into enjoying a long bike ride.

Am200 full suspension

I purchased the am 200 & so far so good 👍, I weight in @ 230 & it has surprised me a few times now with the awesome power assistance, this is my 1st electric full suspension bike & wow what a huge difference with the effortless functions, I myself would & is looking to up grade my rear shock. I'm 6'5 , 230 & I've had a few un electric full suspension throughout my life, I'm 50 yrs old & would definitely recommend this bike , all the components are top notch, just i will try to up grade the shock cause I like to ride hard & I've bottomed it out a couple times now.. I don't like that!! But all in all this bike is awesome and worth the value!! Thanks

Eahora will be an important brand

If they give everyone my experience

Initial

Shipping condition was very good 👍

Internal packing was really good 👍

Assembly took me about two hours, mostly because of my caution to check details 👌

No missing parts 👍

But one large hex wrench needed was not included 👎

I got this bike because I wanted to extend my rides when I'm tired, not to have a lower level ride. So...

The Ride

Suspension is awesome vs my hardtail.🤘

Pedaling without battery is of course noticeably harder vs my 32lb bike. 😅

Disc brakes are impressive 👏

40miles only so far so can't complain but everything works as expected 👍

The bell is a waste for such a nice bike 👎

The electronics

Battery indicator didn't even move after 10 miles of assistance 👏

Used assistance up the steepest hill around. It took my all but I couldn't have made it without the help. 216lb is still a load for the 350watt motor 👌

Light is good for visibility. Not for illumination of the road. 👌

Final thoughts of my initial review

Bike is much larger than my bike rack. I'll think on that. 🤔

Bike is beautiful and just what I thought 😍

Value is clear 👏 so far 🤞

I would do it again. No regrets.
